Wish Upon a Star

Click to go to my Whimsy Stamps December rubber release Blog Hop post!
-------------------------------------------------------

Good evening!

This week at Ellephantastic Cards and Crafts challenge, which is actually open till 31st December 12pm GMT,we have two themes again: "Wish Upon a Star" and "Christmas/Winter". There are also two prizes, which means that we are going to have two winners.

I have combined the two themes.

I used one of Helen's adorable images, this one is called Rory and Charlotte - Nativity. I used two Whimsy Stamps, the star stamp is from the Christmas Tree in Words set designed by Raindropecho Designs and the sentiment is from the Peace on Earth set designed by Crissy Armstrong. The paper and the rope are from stash.

And now I have to say that this is also my last DT card for Ellephantastic Cards and Crafts, after 6 months I have decided to step down. I loved being part of the team and I wish Helen and all the DT girls all the best, thank you for everything! I'll definitely be joining the Ellephantastic challenges wheneverI can.

I'll be back later to enter some challenges with this card, I'm off to have a dinner, I'm sooo hungry...

So, I'm entering:
All Sorts challenge "Last Minute Christmas Card"
Crafts and Me - "Moody Blues"

Thank you for stopping by! :)

Ok, I know I'm a little late, it's already Sunday here, but I just came across this fabulous music challenge (no you don't have to sing :) ) by Marcea and I had to participate.

So, this is my choice for this week: Bee Gees - "How Deep is Your Love". Something nice and slow and relaxing, as it's already late.

Check out Marcea's challenge and share your favourite song. :)

Good night!

Christmas Tree

Click to go to my Whimsy Stamps December rubber release Blog Hop post!
-------------------------------------------------

Good afternoon!

Wow, it's so cold today, it's a good thing I didn't have to go anywhere, for a change! :)
I'm going to try to relax as much as I can this weekend, because next week is going to be a very busy one for me.

Anyway, today was my turn to post on the Whimsy Inspirations blog and I posted this card and one of my previous Whimsy Stamps projects. You can see that post here.

For this card I used an image from the Digital Stamp Collection. The stamp is called Christmas Tree designed by Meljen Designs, while the sentiment is from the rubber stamp set Peace on Earth designed by Crissy Armstrong. The papers are MME- "The Merry Days of Christmas". the ribbon is from stash.

As usual I coloured the image with watercolour pencils and added some glitter glues.

I'm entering:
C.R.A.F.T. challenge - "Color Palette Festivia"
Secret Crafter - "Christmas"
All Sorts challenge - "Light Up the Night" (to use a candle or other
light on our cards/projects)
I Did It Creations challenge - "Vintage Christmas"
Artistic Stamper - "Christmas"
Stamp Something - "Digi day"

Ooh, but that's not all, I just have to share my excitement about something I'm so looking forward to, tonight...

The new series starts this evening, based on one of my all time favourite books - "The Scent of Rain in the Balkans" by Gordana Kuic.
Her work has been mainly inspired by her mother Blanki Salom and her aunts, who were descendants of Sephardi Jews in the Balkans, and most of her novels are set in 1914–1944.

Tis book is also available in English, so I would really like to recommend it.
I just can't wait to see if the series is going to be as good as the book. :) The trailer doesn't look bad.

Thank you for stopping by and have a lovely weekend! :)

Say it with Flowers

--------------------------------------

Hello!

It's finally snowing here and I hope it's for real this time! :) It's beautiful outside, everything is white and shiny!

This week at Cute Card Thursday the theme is "Floral Franzy" and that means that we would like to see flowers on your creations.

All the stamps ( the image, sentiment and the flowers) are from the Popcorn the Bear Souffle collection Say it with Flowers stamp set by Crafters Companion. One of the papers is MME - "Bloom and Grow" and the other one is from stash. The ribbon was bought at a local craft store.
I just couldn't wait for glitter on the card to dry (maybe you can notice), as I was in such a hurry to take a photo of it, I was running late.

As usual, I coloured the image with watercolour pencils.

I followed the sketch at this month's challenge at Crafters Companion challenge blog. They have a sketch, but also a theme - "Christmas", so we can either choose one of these two, or combine the sketch and the theme. I obvioulsy only followed the sketch.
I'm also entering Craft your Passion challenge - "Anything goes"
Creative Card Crew - "Anything Goes"
Top Tip Tuesday - "Use ribbon on your creation"

Beary Christmas

Hello!

We've been dealing with floodings here, the worst in the last 100 years or so, the water came very close, it got into some of the houses and most of the cottages near the river, it completely surrounded my cottage, but thankfully it didn't get in. It's nice and Sunny today, no rain, so water is slowly moving back.

I made another Christmas card using Whimsy Stamps.

This adorable stamp is called Holly Beary Fairy designed by Meljen's Designs. The sentiment is from the Winter Letter Seals designed by Raindrop Echo Designes and again I used the Ticket Die from the Whimsy Shapeology Die Collection. The snowflake in the left corner is one of the sentiments from the new digital set called Christmas Sentiment designed by Raindrop Echo Designs. The papers are also Whimsy, Very Merry, they have been distressed and then again I used white paint and a glitter glue. The ribbons are from stash.

As usual, the image was coloured with watercolour pencils.

I'm entering:

Stamp with Stampavie and more - "Snow/Snowflakes"
Crafts and Me - "Dreaming of a White Christmas (snowflakes)"

Sending Warm Thoughts :)

Hello!

This week at Cute Card Thursday the theme is "Blues", that means that we would like to see your creations inspired by the colour blue.

This is also my DT project for Whimsy Stamps, again, I wanted to try something different, not a card.

The stamps used here are all from the Winter Letter Seals designed by Raindrop Echo Designes. Two of the papers are MME, the other one is from stash.

I added lots of glitter glue, two ribbons and a rope.

For the ticket sentiment I used the fantastic Ticket Die from the Whimsy Shapeology Die Collection. The sentiment is a regular one, not ticket, but I though why not and I like the result.

Yesterday was the new release of the Digital Stamp Collection at Whimsy Stamps and as usual, there is a blog hop! Appart from a chance to see the most amazing projects that the digital DT girls have made, you also get a chane to win, so visit the Whismy Inspirations Blog to see the blog hop order and participate. :)

'Twas the Night Before Christmas...

Hello!

It's snowing!!!
Yes, it finally started snowing here today and now I can really get into the winter mood. :)

Last night I made another Christmas card (and I still don't have enough), but this one was made specially for my little nephew. :)

I had a very good idea for this card after seeing some wonderful similar ones last year, here.I knew I had to make a little Santa scene. :)

It's been a while since I bought this gorgeous Stampavie, Sarah Kay - Noel Santa stamp and I really wanted to use it, so I though this was a perfect opportunity. Two of the papers, which I used for the wall of the house and for the roof are Whimsy Stamps, Very Merry; the one used for the glass on the door is Basic Grey - "Wassail".
I used one border punch for the roof and added some Stickles glitter glue for the snow effect (on the roof and the door ), I also added one silver ribbon (on the roof and at the bottom of the card) for the same purpose.
I stamped one Whimsy Stamps decoration stamp from the Christmas Tree in Words set designed by Raindropecho Designs. I stamped it three times and covered it with another glitter glue, to give the effect of a Christmas light decoration on the front of the house. I just added one small ribbon bow as a door decoration.

The image, as usual was coloured with watercolour pencils.

I truly hope my nephew likes his card! :)

I'm entering:
Stamp with Fun - "Advent"
Crazy Challenge - "On the Go"
Wild Orchid Challenge - "An Old fashioned Christmas"
Quixotic Paperie November challenge - "No Square or Rectangle"
Stampin' for the Weekend - "Winter"
Winter Wonderland - "Shape Up"

Blog candy giveaway! :)

~~~ Now Closed ~~~
Hello!
It's been awhile since I had a blog candy and it used to be a tradition for me to, from time to time, give away (stamped images mostly) as a thank you to my readers. So, I think it's about a time I continue with the tradition. :)
At first I thought I would make it a followers blog candy, but I changed my mind - everyone from anywhere in the world is welcome to enter.
A candy is rather small, I'm giving awaay some of the things I got but never used, just a few bits as shown in the photo bellow:
What you can win?
  • One mounted rubber stamp - Geisha Anya from The Greeting Farm
  • One unmounted sentiment stamp (It's Your Special Day) from Crafters Companion
  • 6 8x8 Designer papers (Heidi Grace)
  • Ribbon x3 (Poppicrafts)
All you have to do to enter is:
- add comment under this post
- add my blog candy to your sidebar linking back to my blog (this is not necessary, but it would be nice if you could)
Candy closes in four weeks, at 9pm CET (my time) on December 26th.
Thank you and good luck! :)
