Sunshine in Winter

Hello!

I've been walking 8 km in snow today, can you believe?! It's not very cold, the Sun is shining, the snow looks beautiful, as if it had been covered with diamonds and thousands and thousands of crystals and isn't going to melt because of the frost, which is good. :)

Have a happy day and a cupcake, too! :)

Hello!
I made a card which fits quite a few challenges. I love that!

Whiff of Joy challenge is a recipe: 4 patterned papers, 3 bling, 2 flowers (there is another option, too, but I used this one). They are also having a DT call, so I'm entering my card for that, as well
Stamp with Stampavie and more challenge is to make a Birthday card for a boy, they are also looking for guest designers, so I'm entering my card for the call, too.
Simon Says challenge is called - "Punch it" and I used two punches.
Lily of the Valley challenge is a sketch which I followed
Basic Grey challenge - is called - "Animals", I think Henry fits very well. :)
Stamp with Fun challenge - has the theme - "Baby" and I think this card would go well for a baby boy. :)
And the Quixotic Paperie challenge - which is called - "Ink up and old stamp", I bought this stamp about a year ago, but I've been stamping for a year and a half, so this is old.

My card:

The stamp is "Henry the celebrating Mouse" from the Whiff of Joy. The papers are all Basic Grey. I used two punches, an edge and a star punch. The flowers are Poppicrafts. The lace, ribbon and the green gems are from stash.

Henry was coloured with watercolours

The sentiment stamp is Stampendous

Hello!
Katharina from the Whiff of Joy is having another GDT call, it will be every two months from now on, just follow the link or click on the banner to read all about it.

Katharina designed this fabulous sketch for everyone to follow:

I decided to enter and I made my card last night.

I used one of the first three Whiff of Joy stamps which I bought in Autumn in 2008. I own many WoJ stamps now, they are all beautiful, but I think this is my all time favourite, "Willow with cookies", she reminds me of me. :) The papers are Basic Grey. The brown flower is Poppicrafts, the other one is Prima. The little roses are from Bunny Zoes Crafts. The sentiment is also Whiff of Joy, the cute teapot charm, too. The rest is from stash.

Willow was coloured with watercolours as usual and I coloured the little details on her clothes with Sakura pen.

Just a closer look at the flowers and charm

Dont' forget to enter the Whiff of Joy GDT call, it ends on January 23rd.

Thank you for stopping by and have a lovely day! :)

Stampin' for the Weekend challenge

Hello!
I decided to start early with my Christmas cards this year! lol
No, actually I just had to make a card with this cute Whiff of Joy Santa. And it finally started snowing here, again! :)
I followed Fiona's sketch at Stampin' for the Weekend.

The stamp is Quiet santa from the Whiff of Joy, the papers are Basic Grey, which I distressed. The lace, rope and pins are from stash. I stamped some snowflakes in the corner and covered them with sakura pen, so they shine pretty well.

Santa was coloured with watercolours and I added stickles to his beard and some "fur" to his clothes.

The flowers are Poppicrafts, while the red heart gems I received from my blogging friend Moni .

Two cards and a few challenges

Hello again!

I made two cards (three actually, but I'm posting two) in December using some new stash. Isn't that what we all love best?! :)

I'm entering a few challenges with them. With the first one:
A Spoon Full of Sugar , which has the theme - "Hearts", I used my heart corner punch
Everybody Art challenge - has the theme - "Favourite Colour Combo" , I really love how pink and green work together

The image is is from the Whiff of Joy. I bought the same stamp in December, but didn't need to ink it up, since my blogging sister Anne sent some gorgeous images several weeks ago and a few of these were among them. Willow was coloured with watercolours. The paper is K&Co, the flowers are Poppicrafts. The sentiment is also Whiff of Joy, while the ribbon and the button are from stash.

With my second card I'm entering the following challenges:
Belles 'n Whistles/Roses on Paper, challenge #28, which is to use our favourite colouring medium, I used watercolours.
ABC challenges - L is for Layering
Cute Card Thursday challenge with the theme - "All New", the stamp and the cute little charm are new
Corrosive challenges with the theme - "Distressing", I distressed around the image.
Fussy & Fancy challenge – that has the theme - "New", like I said the stamp and the charm are new.

The stamp is called "Mmm... Yes, please" and I won it in October, after posting some of my Belles 'n Whistles cards in the BnW galery. Summer gave us a chance to choose a stamp and I chose this one. Thank you so much Summer ! :) The image was coloured with watercolours. One of the papers is Basic Grey, the other one is K&Co. The sentiment and the teapot charm are from the Whiff of Joy and the rope and ribbon are from stash.

Christmas Tree ornaments

Finaly something new from me! :)

Here are a couple of Christmas Tree ornaments which I made using some of my new Whiff of Joy stamps I bought at the beginning of December. The ornaments were made about three weeks ago and they looked very pretty on our Christmas Tree. :)
The other sides of the ornaments look just the same, I coloured in two images of both stamps.

I just love this cute Santa, I think this is my favourite from the collection, I simply had to have it. I coloured the "Quiet Santa" with watercolours and used Sakura pen.

This is also my favourite from the Whiff of Joy Norma Fickel release, Wee and reindeer. I Love her style. Again, the image was coloured with watercolours.

I also have a couple of cards to post.

Thank you for stopping by :)

Hello again :) and my best cards in 2009 (IMHO)

Hello!

I hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday evening! It's been nice and sunny outside today, though a bit cold, which is not unusual for January, right!? But, I wish for more snow... Mom and I went for a bike ride and to see how close the river is to the place where we have a cottage. There's been some floading these days across the country, but nothing serious, at least not in our area.

Anyway, it's been so long since I posted anything on my blog, old or new, so I decided to post something today. I have some new creations waiting to be posted, but I've decided to start with some oldies, first :)

I've noticed that some other bloggers posted their top 10 or 12 cards of the year, so I thought I would try to do the same. I wanted to pick my favourite card for every month, but that wasn't possible, since I started my new blog in August and I don't know what card was made when before that. So, from all the spring cards I will just pick my favourite 5:

Spring 2009:

June 2009.
(this card was made for the Sugar Nellie blog hop, yes I was one of the lucky ones and even got this stamp)

July 2009:
(this one was made for the Whiff of Joy blog hop GD call - normaly I didn't make it)

August 2009:

September 2009:
(another one for the Whiff of Joy GD call - didn't make it once again)

October 2009:
(Oh, this card was featured on the Belles n' Whistles blog and how happy I was to see my card on their blog, I felt quite proud, I can tell you)

November 2009:

December 2009.

I will be back to post my all December creations.

Thank you for stopping by! :)

Hugs
