'Twas the Night Before Christmas...

Hello!

It's snowing!!!
Yes, it finally started snowing here today and now I can really get into the winter mood. :)

Last night I made another Christmas card (and I still don't have enough), but this one was made specially for my little nephew. :)

I had a very good idea for this card after seeing some wonderful similar ones last year, here.I knew I had to make a little Santa scene. :)

It's been a while since I bought this gorgeous Stampavie, Sarah Kay - Noel Santa stamp and I really wanted to use it, so I though this was a perfect opportunity. Two of the papers, which I used for the wall of the house and for the roof are Whimsy Stamps, Very Merry; the one used for the glass on the door is Basic Grey - "Wassail".
I used one border punch for the roof and added some Stickles glitter glue for the snow effect (on the roof and the door ), I also added one silver ribbon (on the roof and at the bottom of the card) for the same purpose.
I stamped one Whimsy Stamps decoration stamp from the Christmas Tree in Words set designed by Raindropecho Designs. I stamped it three times and covered it with another glitter glue, to give the effect of a Christmas light decoration on the front of the house. I just added one small ribbon bow as a door decoration.

The image, as usual was coloured with watercolour pencils.

I truly hope my nephew likes his card! :)

I'm entering:
Stamp with Fun - "Advent"
Crazy Challenge - "On the Go"
Wild Orchid Challenge - "An Old fashioned Christmas"
Quixotic Paperie November challenge - "No Square or Rectangle"
Stampin' for the Weekend - "Winter"

Blog candy giveaway! :)

~~~ Now Closed ~~~
Hello!
It's been awhile since I had a blog candy and it used to be a tradition for me to, from time to time, give away (stamped images mostly) as a thank you to my readers. So, I think it's about a time I continue with the tradition. :)
At first I thought I would make it a followers blog candy, but I changed my mind - everyone from anywhere in the world is welcome to enter.
A candy is rather small, I'm giving awaay some of the things I got but never used, just a few bits as shown in the photo bellow:
What you can win?
  • One mounted rubber stamp - Geisha Anya from The Greeting Farm
  • One unmounted sentiment stamp (It's Your Special Day) from Crafters Companion
  • 6 8x8 Designer papers (Heidi Grace)
  • Ribbon x3 (Poppicrafts)
All you have to do to enter is:
- add comment under this post
- add my blog candy to your sidebar linking back to my blog (this is not necessary, but it would be nice if you could)
Candy closes in four weeks, at 9pm CET (my time) on December 26th.
Thank you and good luck! :)
Whimsy Christmas Note Card Box
Hello!
I have another Whimsy Stamps DT project to share this week.
Lately, I've been in the mood of making something different, not just cards.
So this time I wanted to make another note card box, but different from the one I recently made. I looked for a good tutorial and I found a fabulous one by Gio.
All the stamps I used here are from the Peace on Earth set designed by Crissy Armstrong.
I used two papers from the beautiful Whimsy Stamps, Very Merry pack. I used one of my border punches. Distressed the papers and put some golden glitter glue. The buttons are from stash.
I coloured the image with watercolour pencils and I used my Nestabilities, Classic Scalloped Ovals large dies.
I made four 3x3 cards in two designs. I used white cardstock for the base (for both the box and the cards).
They fit perfectly into the box.
This is what two of the cards look like, I used one of the Very Merry papers I used for the top of the box so that the cards and the box would match. The baige ribbon is from stash.
This is one of the sentiments from the Peace on Earth set, again I used my Nestabilities dies and golden glitter glue.
This is what the other two cards look like. Again, I used the other one of the two Very Merry papers I used for the top of the box. The red ribbon is from stash.
And this is another sentiment from the Peace on Earth set and like for the other cards I used my nesties and golden glitter glue.
These are all of the cards. I eventually made two more, but took the photos before that.
I just added a ribbon, I chose one that would match the bow in the gorgeous image on the top - red, with golden (yellowish) edges.
I'm entering:
Bunny Zoes Crafts monthly challenge - "Anything for Christmas but not a card" -(my box)
Die Cut Dreams - "Anyhting but a card" (again, my box)
Everybody Art Challenge - "Use Shapes"
Paper Cutz challenge - "Anything Goes"
Crafty Catz - "Christmas"
All the stamps I used and the papers are available at Whimsy Stamps.
Edited to add: Come back to my blog tomorrow, as I will have a blog candy for my followers! :)
Thank you for stopping by! :)
Season's (Chocolate) Greetings :)
Good morning!
I have a little Whimsy Stamps DT project to share with you today. Instead of making a card I thought I would make a Christmas themed wrap for some chocolates.
I have used tree rubber stamps from the latest Holiday release and they all come from the Winter Letter Seals designed by Raindrop Echo Designes.
The papers are MME, the brad is Woodware, the flower is handmade and the rope is from stash.
The ticket sentiment is a digital stamp from the French Ticket Sentiments set also designed by Raindrop Echo Designs.
Here is a closer look at one of the stamps I used:
And the rest of the stamps I used. Another product that I have used here is the fantastic Ticket Die from the Whimsy Shapeology Die Collection. I've used it with a digital stamp and I love the result, but if you use it with some of the rubber ticket sentiment stamps, like Holiday Ticket sentiments the result is even better, perfection!
I'm entering:
Crazy for Challenges - "Circles"
Paperplay challenges - "Let it Snow" - ( there are snowflakes in the circle and on the trees on the paper)
And a little reminder:
Whimsy Stamps Sneak Peek
Hello!
Today I have two cards to show you, which I made using some of the new Whimsy Stamps that are going to be released on Wednesday, November 10th. We are going to have a blog hop, too!
But, not only stamps are being released on the 10th, also two new product lines. Whimsy Stamps will now be offering metal die cuts in our Shapeology Die Collection and also Designer Papers. How awesome is that!?
Both of my cards feature stamps from the "Christmas Tree in Words" set designed by Raindrop Echo designs.
I tried to make a simple, elegant card to make this gorgeous stamp stand out. I stamped one of the stamps from the set on the background and one more (the star stamp) which I stamped on the top of the tree.
And my second card:
I made the background paper again, using another stamp from the set. I stamped it with distress ink "Tattered Rose". I stamped the tree with Versamark and heat embossed it. The flowers are Prima, the ribbon from stash.
I think in the next photo you can see the embossed tree better, it shines very nice.
I'm entering One Stop Craft Challenge - the theme is "Embossing"
Charisma Cardz -"With Love @ Christmas"
Pocket Full of Posies - "Winter Bouquet"
