It's never too early for Christmas :)

Good evening!
I made a Christmas card today, because I wanted to use one of my Sarah Kay stamps which I bought recently. I'm entering the following challenges with it:
Stampavie challenge - which has the theme: "Favourite colours" - I used my favourite "Christmas cards combination" which is red and blue.
ABC-Challenges - "V is for Vintage"
Creative Inspirations challenge - has the theme "Distressed"
Cute Card Thursday - "No Designer Papers"

The stamp is "NOEL-Eve" Sarah Kay, Stampavie, which was bought at the Secret Crafter, from the Winter 2009's collection. The sentiment stamp is Stampendous. I didn't use any papers, I made the background with a snowflake stamp, which I stamped on a piece of white/blue cardstock and covered the snowflakes with silver glitter glue. The charm was bought at Bunny Zoes Crafts,I received the heart gems from the lovely Moni and the ribbon is from stash.

The image was coloured with watercolour pencils

Thank you for stopping by and have a great week! :)

Two cards for the Whiff of Joy GD call

Hello!

I made two cards today for the Whiff of Joy GD Call which is open till Sunday. This time Katharina chose a colour combo for the challenge: orange, red + one more colour of our choice(black and white can be used too).

Here are my two cards:
The first one:

With the first card I wanted to do an Oriental theme and try something different. Beside red and orange, on this card I also used green. I thought I would make a little window and put a red net on it, to make it look a bit mysterious with the image kind of hidden inside of the card. The green paper is Basic Grey, Wassail, the flower stamp is from the Whiff of Joy, "Sheherazade" kit and the corner stamp is Queen Kat Designs. I also added some glitter. The brads (which I think are my favourites) are used to hold the net.

This is what the inside of the card looks like. I used a distress ink pad, to give everything on the card a nice distressed look.

I stamped the flowers on the red cardstock with the same flower stamp and also added some glitter on them. The image and the sentiment are both from the Whiff of Joy, "Sheherazade" kit, too. I used a piece of the same Basic Grey paper, the lace and the ribbon are from stash.

I coloured the image and also the flowers with watercolour pencils.

I hope I succeeded in my attempt to give this card an "Oriental tone". :)

And my second card:

Again, with this card I also wanted to try something a little different. I thought I would make an Autumn card, since red and orange do remind me of Autumn and the third colour I used on this card is beige. I stamped the image, which is I think my favourite stamp from the Whiff of Joy "Autumn kit" , with distress ink and coloured it with the same ink pad. The paper is My Minds Eye - "Bloom and Grow", which I bought here and that's where the brads and the red flowers came from, too. The sentiment is again from the "Sheherazade" kit, i really love all the sentiments from the kit. I also added a Prima flower; the lace, ribbon and the rope are from stash.

The image, like I said, has been coloured with distress ink pad "Vintage Photo".

Don't forget to enter the Whiff of Joy GD Call.

Thank you so much for stopping by and wish me luck!

Decorated paperbag

Hello!
There is a great "decorate a paper bag tutorial" on the Whiff of Joy Tutorials and inspiration blog by Inge Groot and it is also a challenge. I thought I would give it a try, because I don't remember if I've ever done something like this before, I think I haven't. Anyway, my paper bag didn't turn out as pretty as the one on the blog, but I think it doesn't look that bad either. I didn't have a kraft paperbag, unfortunately, but I really like the one from the tutorial, I guess I'll be "hunting" those from now on. :)

Anyhow, here is my little paper bag:

The stamp is an accessory stamp, "Large Mushroom" from the Whiff of Joy's "Autumn kit". I've realized I have never used it before. The corner stamp comes from the same kit. The paper is a download, not sure which one, though. The flower is Poppicrafts, while the lace and the ribbon are from stash. I coloured the images with distress ink and added some glitter.

Thank you for stopping by!

Believe in the Magic...

Hello!
I bought an adorable Tina Wenke stamp recently and today I've finally been able to use it. I've made a card and I'm entering the following challenges with it.

The Stampavie challenge has the theme "Glitter". I added some glitter on the flowers in the "bride squirrel's" veil and on the flowers in her bouquet;
My Time to Craft challenge has the theme - "Too Cute" ;
Craft-alnica challenge has a colour theme this time, to use "Pink + any other colour";
Stamp with Stampavie and more also has a colour challenge this week and they too have chosen the colour "Pink";
Stamp Something challenge this week has the theme "Celebrate Somethings", my card celebrates wedding;
The Secret Crafter Saturday challenge has the theme "Metal" and I think my safety pin should count;
Timbroscrapmania has a very lovely theme this week - "Once Upon a Time", I guess it has to do with fairytales and magic :)
and I followed the sketch at the Sketch Saturday.

Like I said, the stamp is Tina Wenke's "Wedding Squirrels", which I bought at the Secret Crafter. The papers are K&Co-Clasic K McKenna. The sentiment is Whiff of Joy, the flower is Prima. The lace, ribbon, button, safety pin and the leaves are from stash.

The image has been coloured with watercolour pencils, as usual.

Dance with your heart

Good morning!
I realized that I have only used one stamp (and a couple of sentiments) from my "1001 nights, Sheherazade kit" so far. So I thought it was about a time I use another one. The other day i saw this fabulous sketch by Claudia Rosa on the Whiff of Joy - Tutorials and Inspiration blog and as it is actually a challenge which is open till saturday, I thought I would make a card and enter it.
I'm also entering the Cute Card Thursday challenge which has the theme - "Someone Special".

I used three stamps from the Whiff of Joy, "Sheherazade kit": the Aladine slippers, the flowers and the sentiment. I used the flower stamp to make the background. I just stamped it on a piece of a red cardstock and I added some glitter on the flowers. The paper is Basic Grey; the ribbon and the lace are from stash.

I coloured the images with watercolour pencils and also added glitter on some details of the images. I hope you were able to see how it sparkles in the photo above.

Claudia Rosa's sketch which I followed:

Don't forget to enter the challenge, as there is also a very nice stamp to be won. :)
Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Two more Belles 'n Whistles cards

Good evening!
I've made two more cards today using my new Belles 'n Whistles stamps from the Spring/Clean/Summer collection. The BnW DT call ends tonight, so I'm using this opportunity to enter the call for the second time with the first one of my two cards. I also followed the sketch at the Sketch Saturday.
I'm also entering the Papertake Weekly challenge which has the theme - "Shiny, Sparkly and Special";
Lili of the Valley challenge with the theme - "Here comes Summer";
Stamp Something challenge which has the theme - "Birthday somethings"

I really love this adorable Belles 'n Whistles stamp which is called "Wishes". I wanted to achive the "sepia look", so I stamped the image with my distress ink pad - "Vintage Photo", which I bought at the Secret Crafter, that's where the paper and the brads came from, too. The paper is My Minds Eye, "Bloom and Grow". The sentiment is Whiff of Joy. The flowers are Prima and I added one bordoux flower and bordoux cardstock for the base to give a nice contrast to the rest of the card. The flowers came form Bunny Zoes Crafts. The lace, ribbon, rope and the pins are from stash.

I also distressed around the image, sentiment and the paper with the same ink pad and also added lots of glitter on the flowers and the grass in the image and also on the edges of the image and the sentiment. It's not easy to capture all the lovely sparkle on the card, I tried from different angles. I hope you could notice in the photo above, it really has a lovely shiny look in real life.

Like I said, I used "Vintage Photo" distress ink pad to stamp and colour the image. I used my paint brush and some water for the colouring, adding more ink in some places.

the sketch at the Sketch Saturday:

My second BnW card was made for the Roses on Paper/Belles 'n Whistles challenge, which is a colour combo - pink, orange and yellow.
I also followed the sketch at the Timbroscrapmania
I'm also entering the ABC challenge which has the theme - "U is for unused stash" and my stamp is brand new :)

This Belles 'n Whistles stamp is called "Belle with Laundry" and it's also from the Spring/Clean/Summer collection. The collection is soo beautiful, I still can't decide which stamp is my favourite! :) The papers are again MME "Bloom and Grow". The sentiment is Whiff of Joy, the stamp in the corners is SU. The white flower is Poppicrafts. The rest is from stash.

The image has been coloured with watercolour pencils.

Belles 'n Whistles DT call and Tea Time

Good evening!

Have you heard the most exciting news!? The Belles 'n Whistles stamps DT call is open!! They are looking for four new DT members, how awesome! The call is open till Wednesday, so hurry up if you'd like to apply. Check out the DT call post on the BnW blog here.

Of course, I wasn't going to miss this opportunity, as I absolutely adore Belles 'n Whistles stamp, ever since the first release. I've applied to a couple of their GDT calls till now, but have never been lucky enough, so this time I'm really keeping my fingers crossed. :)

Here is my card:

I decided to use this beautiful Belles 'n Whistles stamp from the Spring/Clean/Summer release, called "Tea Time". The paper is K&Co, Clasic K McKenna, the flowers are Prima and I put golden brads in the centres which I bought here; that's where the "Vintage Photo" distress ink pad came from, too. I distressed the edges of the paper, image and the sentiment. The sentiment stamp is Stampendous; the lace, ribbon, rope and the pins are from stash.

The image was coloured with watercolour pencils.

Now I'm going to have a nice cup of tea, because I've been very much inspired by the adorable image.

Don't forget to enter the BnW DT call, remember it's only open till Wedneday.

Thank you for stopping by and wish me luck! :)
Have a lovely evening!
